This was deliciously written and so aligned with what I stumbled upon in my writing practice yesterday, and this 3 year metamorphosis of being largely offline.

I realized yesterday that I need to start each writing session with first just writing simply for me, as a discovery, to see what's alive inside, and let it take me where it will. I found the little girl inside who has always been gifted with the craft of writing and an imagination much more wild and easily accessible than my current one-- she was a pure channel.

I realized how much her gifts have been whored out for similar reasons-- of running a biz, making money, being seen.. and how she was whithering away, feeling neglected, abandonned, and used. I realized that the most potent gift I can offer my writing it to connect with her, from her, first, and become the vessel for what's wanting to move through me, underneath the mind and the ego's agenda, and to allow the words to unfurl from there.

It sparked an amazing creative portal for me, and I'm excited to continue exploring it, and to have Substack to unfurl into deeper freedom around my writing. The essay you helped me with was the most I've let a piece of writing work me in my life.. just allowing myself to play, explore, and hone my craft. And I'm so lit up for more of that.

Thanks for weaving magic with me :)

writing with an agenda is an interesting line I have not directly thought about ... similar ideas yes, but that one makes a whole lot of sense in a different way.

feelin you on this one
